Every attempt has been made to ensure that the jewellery displayed on www.johntitcombe.co.uk is as accurate as possible, however some products may appear larger or smaller than their real size and since every computer monitor is different, variations in colour may occur.

The product dimensions supplied are intended to give only an approximate indication of the size of individual products.

The carat to millimetre conversion chart is for informational purposes only and is very approximate. The purchase of a partcular carat diamond is not an indication of an exact millimetre size shown on this chart.

We provide comprehensive information as to how to care for you jewellery. We cannot accept responsibility for problems with your jewellery if this advice has not been exactly followed.

Diamond carat weights stated are within 0.05 carats of the exact weight to comply with FTC regulations.

John Titcombe Ltd only purchases diamonds from respectable dealers that adhere strictly to the Kimberley Process and every attempt is always made to ensure that diamonds are not sourced from countries that use the money to fund conflicts.

Engagement rings

Thank you for your interest in our engagement rings.

Buying an engagement ring is a very important purchase and we want you to be delighted with your choice. We understand that if you are buying, for example, an engagement ring for a surprise proposals you need to be sure that you can come back to us if your fiancee is not 100% happy with your choice.

If you purchase an engagement ring from one of our collections you can:

  • Exchange it for a different ring in our collection of equal or greater cost.
  • Return it and commission us to design and make you a completely new ring to the same value or greater.
  • Return it for a full refund minus postage and packaging (We only offer this option for engagement rings bought unseen over the internet).

Engagement rings must be returned in perfect condition, unworn and in the original packaging within the times stated here:

  • UK based customer returns – 14 days
  • EU based customer returns – 14 days
  • US and worldwide based customer returns – 14 days

By special arrangement in advance, it may be possible to extend these timescales based on, for example, the date of your planned proposal.

Commissioned or modified engagement rings

These cannot be returned. Once you commit to going ahead with your commission your 50% deposit is non-refundable as we buy the materials specially for each commission and they cannot be used for anything else.

If you are interested in commissioning an engagement ring for a surprise proposal but are worried that your fiancée may not be 100% happy with the design, you could consider proposing with our design sketches or perhaps a gemstone or think about our commission in a box. Then you would be able to involve your financee in the commission process after she has accepted your proposal. This is a popular option as it keeps the element of surprise in the proposal but allows you and your fiancée the enjoyment of being involved in the design of a unique ring together to celebrate your engagement.
